The Alrajhi Endowment undertook, along with its varied contributions, to actively participate in “the seasons of the good” to emphasize the principles of Islamic brotherhood and seeking for manifold reward in these events, when the honor of the place and the honor of time coincide, being implemented in Makkah, Medina and the holy sites during the holy month of Ramadan or on the ten days of Dhulhijaah. Since its inception, the Alrajhi Endowment used to distribute food to pilgrims and daily meals to some schools in the unprivileged areas of Makkah, in addition to breakfast programs for the fasting people. It also distributes hot and dry meals in Makkah and Medina and in other places across our blessed country.
The Alrajhi Endowment seeks based on its contributions in this field to achieve the following objectives:
Delivery of the finest foods to people who can get it easily.
Production of the finest food to distribute it among the poor and the needy.
Achieving the principles of social solidarity.
Supporting the great achievements made by the state to feed the guests of the Merciful in endowments and virtuous places.
The Alrajhi Endowment undertakes these activities through the following means:
Establishment of self-operated charitable kitchens and bakeries in Makkah and Medina to run the projects of food distribution among school students, fasting people and pilgrims.
Coordination with charities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the distribution of food and dates among the poor and the needy belonging to these associations.
Coordination with Saudi charities to distribute dates to Islamic associations and institutions.
Among the most important programs implemented in this field:
