The Alrajhi Endowment believes that establishing schools is highly important because they are the fields where one can learn and spread knowledge amongst the community. Therefore, part of the noble mission drafted by the Alrajhi Endowment focused on providing support and assistance for the establishment of schools adopting curricula based on the true belief and sound educational guidance. Accordingly The Alrajhi Endowment tries to achieve the following objectives:
Focusing on Shari’ah sciences and paying attention to memorizing Allah’s Book and the Prophetic Sunnah.
Training students to acquire various academic skills and offering them appropriate educational advising.
Offering poor students opportunities of beneficial education.
Instilling the true Islamic belief into the minds and hearts of students and bringing them up in a righteous environment.
The Alrajhi Endowment implemented these objectives through the following means:
Establishing educational academies for the memorization of the Qur’an across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
 Establishing Islamic schools and supporting the budgets of the existing ones.

The Alrajhi Endowment implemented these activities in this direction through the following:
Projects for the construction of three educational academies for the memorization of the Qur’an in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Each academy includes all levels of pre-university education (primary, preparatory and secondary). These projects are shown in Table 5 below.

Second: A project for supporting schools:

 The Alrajhi Endowment supported many Islamic schools inside the Kingdom and abroad. The total funds offered to schools reached 21,757,176 (twenty-one million, seven hundred, fifty seven, and a hundred fifty Saudi Riyals. The total cost spent by the Alrajhi Endowment on these programs for the years (1418 -1433 AH) reached 50,918,484 (fifty million, nine hundred and eighteen thousand, four hundred and eighty-four Saudi Riyals.

  Realizing the importance of supporting seekers of Islamic knowledge, the Alrajhi Endowment paid special attention to funding the Da’wah and scholarly programs for the students of Islamic knowledge and scholars for the great role they have in the community and their positive impact in constructing it.

The Alrajhi Endowment undertakes these activities to fulfill the following objectives:

Training Muslim children to acquire the true Sahri’ah knowledge.

 Facilitating the acquisition of Sahri’ah knowledge.

Contributing to qualify teachers, increase their efficiency and enable the distinguished teachers and scholars to implement the proper educational process.

Providing students with Da’wah skills and connecting them to the people of trustworthy knowledge.

Empowering distinguished students to perform the proper educational process after their graduation from the university and encourage them to pursue their postgraduate studies in beneficial disciplines.

The Alrajhi Endowment implements these activities in this direction through the following:

Providing study grants to students of Sahri’ah knowledge, Islamic economics and the Arabic language.

Coordination with Saudi universities to accommodate students from Muslim countries to study shari’ah knowledge and training them in shari’ah disciplines appropriately so as to become preachers in their countries later.

Holding training courses for imams and preachers in coordination with the Saudi charities.

The Alrajhi Endowment implemented these activities through the following:

First: Project of funding students:

Sponsoring a number of students in different Muslim countries in coordination with the Saudi charities.

 

Second: The Study Grants Fund in the Alrajhi Endowment of Abdulaziz Alrajhi:

This Fund is the first charitable organized project for admitting students of Shari’ah knowledge in Saudi universities.  The idea of the this fund popped up out of the need of the Islamic Countries to preachers who are prepared scholarly and practically based on true and pure scholarly resources as practiced in the universities of Saudi Arabia. The Alrajhi Endowment is currently preparing and implementing this program in collaboration with Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University for an amount of SAR 16,000,000 (sixteen million riyals to sponsor 160 students having study grants in accordance of the comprehensive patronage system (that includes housing, allowance, tickets and catering). Additionally, The Alrajhi Endowment regularly organize awareness programs, scholarly and socially for those students in coordination with the Cooperative Office for Preaching and Guidance and education of minorities in Riyadh for Training them in Da’wah Work. The total cost of these programs reached SAR 809,264 (eight hundred and nine thousand and two hundred and sixty-four Saudi Riyal).

The Alrajhi Endowment has signed a new agreement of cooperation during the year 1430 with the Islamic University of Medina for the implementation of a new program within the The Study Grants Fund to sponsor 45 students (full scholarship of four-year program) annually. The total cost of this program reaches SAR 8,000,000 (eight million Saudi Riyals)

The total cost spent by the Alrajhi Endowment on these programs during the years (1418-1433 AH)  reached 35784029 (thirty five million, seven hundred and eighty-four thousand and twenty-nine Saudi Riyals).
